We had a wonderful afternoon at the launch of ART HOUSE #2 at the home
I am pleased to announce that I have chosen to not only list my art exclusively online at the new Studio Home Art Store, but that I have also joined the Studio Home Artists Incubator.
With Julia as my sidekick, mentor and strategist I look forward to the supported growth of my art practice and the further opportunities to share what I do.
Following hot on the heels of our fantastic debut ART HOUSE with Fleur Wickes, we have united three talented and diverse local artists - all with a fascinating perspective in celebration of our natural environment.
High country artist; Amelia Guild will not only be presenting you with some of her familiar handsome farm creatures, but also revealing brand new work which will be sure to excite her fans!
Joining Amelia and her bold, painterly style, is up and coming Christchurch talent; Harriet Millar whose rich local vistas and streetscapes will have you viewing your region through fresh eyes. Superbly balancing our painters is the moody floral portraiture from photographer Stacey Weaver of Just South West, offering you the chance to meet blooms in both intense clarity and size!
Our artists will be showing a selection of limited edition prints in various sizes, originals and the opportunity to commission your own modern heirlooms. There will be something for everyone, making this is an unrivaled opportunity to meet talent from your own town.
Once again we will be opening the gate from 3 -7pm, (don't forget your $5 per adult cash gate fee) from which you can sink into the experience with a glass of rosé from our friends The Winemakers Wife. You are welcome to wander the house and garden at your leisure, chat with the artists, time your visit with our artists panel Q+A at 5.45 pm OR ask me the paint colour of our bedroom!
There are no secrets kept on that front!
To top it all off, our friends from Ico Traders will be dotting their furniture throughout to give all art lovers a place to rest (and purchase if you so please!).
As always, the aim of the ART HOUSE pop up is to offer YOU the chance to learn about, appreciate and buy art in a friendly domestic environment.
We hope to see you on Wednesday the 5th Dec 2018!
